FAQ
Quick answers for buyers and hosts.
What fees does Soniv charge? +
Soniv uses simple tiered service fees paid by buyers ($2.99–$8.99 per ticket depending on price). Hosts keep the full ticket price. You’ll always see the total before you pay.
How do refunds work? +
Refund eligibility is set by the host and shown at checkout. If an event is cancelled, we’ll guide you through the best available option (refund, credit, or reschedule) based on the event’s policy and payment processor rules.
Do I need an account to buy tickets? +
For most events, yes — an account helps us protect tickets, send updates, and prevent fraud. It also makes it easy to access your tickets and receipts later.
Why do some events require ID verification? +
Age-restricted or high-trust events may require ID verification (18+ / 21+). Verification helps keep the community safe and reduces chargebacks and ticket fraud.
How do I become a host? +
Start with the host onboarding flow. Depending on your event type and payout needs, we may ask for verification.
